Two individuals were charged after the Clay County Sheriff’s Office executed a drug-related search warrant at 206 East 2nd Street in Peterson late Sunday afternoon.
The warrant stemmed from information provided to the sheriff’s office the previous day regarding illicit drug use in the home, and a minor being present. Deputies found multiple items used for the ingestion of various controlled substances. Items were seized that were used for the sale and distribution of illegal drugs and narcotics.
46-year-old Ryan Warden and 19-year-old Dyce Warden were arrested and booked into the Clay County Jail on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a serious misdemeanor…and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Ryan Warden was also charged with Distributing Drugs to a Person Under 18, a class B felony…Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana, a class D felony…Possession of Methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor…and 3rd Degree Theft, an aggravated misdemeanor.
A 15-year-old juvenile was turned over to the Iowa DHS for placement. The investigation continues, and more charges are pending.
