Donald Trump was the overwhelming winner of the Iowa Republican caucuses last (Mon) night, including in area counties.
Trump won by a landslide in Buena Vista County with 62 percent in favor. Trump received 357 votes in BV County. The next closest were Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis who each received 84 votes. Vivek Ramaswamy got 44 votes, Ryan Binkley 5, and Asa Hutchinson 2.
Trump received 67 percent of the caucus votes in Pocahontas County, 63 percent in Calhoun, 59 percent in Clay, 58 percent in Cherokee, 55 percent in Sac, and 51 percent in Ida County.
The only county Trump didn’t win was Johnson County, where Haley edged Trump by one vote.
