Storm Lake Water Conservation Tips

The City of Storm Lake recently repaired two of the city’s water supply wells, thanks to compliance from the community. There are continual water conservation measures the city encourages to keep in mind.

The city asks to avoid watering lawns during peak usage times (between 10 am – 5 pm), drinking water sources should not be used for dust control or construction purposes, vehicle washing should be minimized with the use of a bucket or hose, and to avoid power washing when it comes to sidewalks (instead, sweep them off).

In addition, the City of Storm Lake will continue to do its part in reducing the water consumption of public properties, ballfields, and golf courses. For more tips about water conservation, visit www.stormlake.org.
