Storm Lake St. Mary’s Educator Recognized as Excellence in Education Award Winner

A Storm Lake St. Mary’s teacher has been named one of four Excellence in Education Award winners within the Diocese of Sioux City.

Laura Anderson teaches middle school science, math, and social studies at St. Mary’s. She’s worked at the school for nine years. Anderson was nominated by St. Mary’s principal Ryan Berg…(audio clip below)

Anderson also serves on the St. Mary’s leadership and Lent/Advent teams, co-facilitates the PLC group, and mentors new teachers. She also serves as an adviser for the mock trial team, and plans numerous field trips.

Anderson and the other award winners will be recognized at the 26th annual Bishop’s Dinner for Catholic Schools on September 17th at the Marriott Riverfront in South South City, Nebraska.
