The City of Storm Lake has provided updated information pertaining to a few projects.
City Public Services staff will be closing the Kiwanis Park east parking area to prepare for seeding grass, and will replace a section of sidewalk. The grass will be seeded later in the season in accordance with water conservation measures.
City workers will be patching some worn areas in the Awaysis Playground play surface. The playground will remain open, with warning cones on the repair areas. Citizens are urged to use caution when visiting the playground during the process.
Upgrades are progressing on several railroad crossings in Storm Lake. Railroad crews have completed work on three crossings, and they have now been reopened. The Barton Street crossing remains closed, and may reopen later this week.
