The Storm Lake Police Association’s 17th annual “Gloves of Love” program is about to get underway.
The program begins this coming Monday, November 20th, and will run until Thursday, December 14th. Citizens are invited to join association members and hang children’s gloves and other items of donated clothing or non-perishable food items on or near a Christmas Tree in the Police Administration Building in Storm Lake. The Police Association will bring all of the donated items to the local Upper Des Moines Opportunity office to be distributed to children and families who are in need throughout the community.
Donated items can be dropped off on or near the Christmas Tree in the lobby of the Storm Lake Police Department at 401 East Milwaukee Avenue between 8am and 4pm Monday through Friday. Items can also be given to staff members at the facility who are on-duty.
