Storm Lake Municipal Band Season Starts Next Weekend

The Storm Lake Municipal Band is gearing up for its 90th season of concerts.

Seven concerts are scheduled for this season in the Sunset Park Bandshell, including every Sunday afternoon in June, and the first week of July.

Most of the concerts begin at 2pm, with the exception of the Sunday, June 8th concert, which starts at 3pm due to the Kids Fest event in Chautauqua Park.

A special July 3rd evening concert is scheduled as part of the Star Spangled Spectacular activities, starting at 5:30pm at Sunset Park.

Admission to the concerts is free, and all are welcome.

The Municipal Band features musicians of all ages and from several area communities. Newcomers are always welcome. The band performs a wide variety of music from marches and classical pieces to pop tunes and movie themes.
