Storm Lake Municipal Band Concert Season Gets Started This Weekend

The 88th season of performances by the Storm Lake Municipal Band gets underway this weekend.

The band’s first concert of the season will be this Sunday, June 4th at 2pm in the Sunset Park Bandshell. The band will also host a car show as part of the season opener. Anyone interested in participating in the car show should bring their cars to Sunset Park around 1pm Sunday. Registration is not required.

Storm Lake Municipal Band concerts will be held each Sunday in June, and continuing through July 10th. All concerts begin at 2pm, except for the June 25th concert which will start at 3pm following the Storm Lake Kids Fest event. The band will also perform on Monday evening, July 3rd at 5:30pm as part of the Star Spangled Spectacular. The concerts are free of charge, and will feature different music themes each week.

SLPD Adds New Program

The Storm Lake Police Department is announcing SLPD Partners in Blue, a voluntary registration program that provides them along with first
