A Storm Lake man who was wanted on a theft charge has been arrested.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, 43-year-old Master Sarapio was located at approximately 9:55 Tuesday morning in the 800 block of Michigan Street. Sarapio was wanted on a Buena Vista County warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on an original charge of 1st Degree Theft, a class B felony.
The warrant stemmed from a report of tools that were stolen last December from a vehicle that was parked in the 400 block of Lake Avenue. Sarapio allegedly took the items and attempted to sell them online. The tools stolen were valued at over ten-thousand dollars.
Sarapio was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a five-thousand dollar bond. The Storm Lake Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the Aurelia Police Department.
