Storm Lake Man Arrested After He Was Found to be in Possession of Several Grams of Marijuana

A Storm Lake man was arrested after officers found more than 50 grams of marijuana.

According to the Storm Lake Police Department, at 10:20pm on Tuesday of this week, a Storm Lake police officer engaged in a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 17 hundred block of Lake Avenue for a minor violation. The department’s K-9 unit was subsequently deployed in search of narcotics in the vehicle. Officers allegedly located approximately 60 grams of marijuana and a scale.

43-year-old Apollo Price of Storm Lake was taken into custody. Price was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Marijuana, 3rd Offense, and Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp, both Class D Felonies. Price was then transported to the Buena Vista County Jail where he was booked on a ten-thousand dollar bond.

The Storm Lake Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office.
