Local officials estimate that between a thousand and 15 hundred children were on hand for the 3rd annual Kids Fest last Sunday in Storm Lake’s Chautauqua Park.
The event is sponsored by the City of Storm Lake and King’s Pointe Resort. Kids Fest is funded entirely from local Hotel/Motel Tax revenue, which is earmarked for tourism efforts. The total event investment was just over seven thousand dollars.
A news release states that City of Storm Lake and King’s Pointe officials hope to see Kids Fest continue to grow in future years.
