The City of Storm Lake will begin accepting nomination papers next Monday, Aug. 25, for this fall’s municipal election. Residents interested in running for city office must live within Storm Lake city limits and gather at least 50 signatures on their nomination petition forms.
Nomination forms can be picked up at Storm Lake City Hall, located at 620 Erie St., the Buena Vista County Auditor’s Office at 317 E. 5th St., or on the Iowa Secretary of State’s website at sos.iowa.gov/city-elections.
All completed papers must be submitted to City Hall by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18.
