Storm Lake City Council Holds Joint Meeting With Airport Commission

The Storm Lake City Council met jointly with the local airport commission at the Storm Lake Airport on Monday.

The airport houses approximately 30 locally-owned planes, as well as serving many that fly into the community for business or pleasure flights. Larger and larger planes are being seen at the facility, including a $25 million business jet that was parked at the facility Monday.

The council heard about recent improvements to the airport, as well as an upcoming apron expansion plan, which is expected to be completed by the spring of 2027.
