The winners have been announced for the Storm Lake Star Spangled Spectacular Art Contest.
Troy Vang, a Storm Lake Elementary 2nd grader, won the coloring page contest, which is for those in kindergarten through 2nd grade. Troy is in Miss Boeset’s class, and is the son of Tee and Jennifer Vang.
Finley Sullivan, a Storm Lake Elementary 3rd grader, is the winner of the poster design contest, which is for those in 3rd and 4th grade. Finley is the daughter of Mike and Megan Sullivan, and is in Miss Vasquez’s class.
Troy and Finley each received a gift bag filled with goodies from the Sugar Bowl Gift Shop, as well as a limited-edition Star Spangled Spectacular shirt, and the chance to ride in the Big Parade on July 4th.
The Star Spangled Spectacular happens on July 3rd and 4th. This year’s theme is “Celebrate Freedom, Feel The Vibe in 2025.” The Spectacular Commodores are Matt and Linda Ricklefs.
