The Spencer Economic Development Corporation announces the acquisition of seven multi-family residential apartment buildings in southwest Spencer.
The acquisition is part of the organization’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the community’s infrastructure and housing opportunities. The properties on 1st and 2nd Avenue Southwest were significantly damaged during the flood last June. A news release states that SEDC and the City of Spencer will oversee the demolition of the current apartments and garages on the sites, which will lead to innovative redevelopment projects that will provide modern, multi-family housing for the Spencer community.
