Spectacular to Feature Record-Breaking Food, Art Vendors

Storm Lake’s 2026 Star Spangled Spectacular is gearing up for one of its largest vendor lineups ever, with more than 30 food vendors and over 30 art vendors scheduled throughout the July 3–4 celebration.

Artist’s Alley organizer Maggie Martinez says Sunset Park will welcome several new artists this year, creating one of the most diverse collections of local and regional art the festival has hosted. Vendors will offer everything from vintage clothing and wood sculptures to jewelry, crochet, face painting, home décor and custom crafts.

Food vendor co‑chairs Alicia Gatzemeyer and Mylea Strand say this year’s event will feature the biggest food selection in Spectacular history. Gatzemeyer says organizers aim to grow the experience each year, and 2026 is shaping up to be “our most flavorful and festive celebration yet.”

Food service begins at 5 p.m. on July 3 in Sunset Park during the Patriotic Ceremony, Kiddie Parade, Classic Car Show, Poppin’ Penelope and Peter’s Circus Show. The Storm Lake Municipal Band and ’70’s tribute group PetRock will open the weekend’s entertainment. Even more food vendors will be available beginning 10 a.m. Saturday.
