A Sioux City man was arrested in Storm Lake late last week after receiving a felony charge for getting caught in possession of a controlled substance multiple times.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle in the 11 hundred block of North Lake Avenue at around 3:45pm last Friday. The driver was identified as 43-year-old Charles Earl Thomas. Officers detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and during a subsequent search located approximately seven grams of marijuana in the vehicle, and another 32 grams on Thomas’ person.
Thomas was taken into custody without incident, and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd or Subsequent Offense, a class D felony. Thomas was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a five thousand dollar bond.
