A one-vehicle crash near Lake View claimed the life of a Sac City woman late Thursday night.
According to the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, authorities responded around 10:45 p.m. to the intersection of Perkins Avenue and 340th Street, where a 2018 white Chevy Equinox had left the roadway and entered a ditch.
Deputies say tire marks showed no signs of braking or evasive action before the vehicle struck a tree. The driver, 27-year-old Samantha Ann Nissen, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been sent to the Office of the State Medical Examiner for autopsy.
The incident remains under investigation, though officials report no indication of foul play at this time.
