Red Flag Warnings Will be in Effect Around The Area Later Today

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning from 1 to 7pm today (Mon) for counties including Buena Vista, Cherokee, and Ida due to strong wind activity and low relative humidity.

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for counties including Sac, Calhoun, and Pocahontas from 11am to 8pm.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
