The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Buena Vista and area counties today (Mon) from 11am to 8pm.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
East southeast wind is expected to be between 20 and 25 miles-per-hour, with gusts up to 30 miles-per-hour. Relative humidity will get as low as 15 percent. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
