The Iowa Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Program Board recently approved an additional 95 applications from Iowa gas stations to support new and expanded ethanol infrastructure projects.
The investments help drivers save money by providing expanded access to lower-cost and cleaner-burning homegrown biofuels like E15. The approved project sites are located in 38 counties and total over 940 thousand dollars in state cost-share.
The Casey’s General Store in Early is receiving a grant of over 46 hundred dollars
The Casey’s in Lake City is receiving a grant of more than 28 thousand dollars.
The Casey’s in Lohrville is getting a grant of over 23 thousand dollars.
The cost share grants were announced today (Wed) by Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig. They were awarded by the RFIP Board during its quarterly meeting on April 15th.
The grants are in addition to the 114 ethanol and biodiesel projects that the board awarded at the end of March.
