Prison Sentence Reissued for Omaha Woman Involved in Storm Lake Home Invasion Due to Probation Violations

An Omaha, Nebraska woman who was involved in a home invasion incident in Storm Lake three years ago had her original sentence imposed this week in Buena Vista County District Court after she violated her probation.

On the evening of October 24th, 2020, 23-year-old Jetorria White and two other individuals also from Omaha, allegedly went to the residence at 227 Oneida Street regarding a custody dispute of a minor child. Storm Lake Police alleged that the three individuals forcefully entered the home and assaulted several occupants. Many of the occupants sustained injuries, including one who had to be transported by ambulance to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious facial injuries.

In September of 2021, White was sentenced to serve up to a ten-year prison term with the Iowa Department of Corrections after she pleaded guilty to 2nd Degree Burglary, a class C felony…and Child Endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor.

White had a reconsideration hearing in April of last year, and ended up being placed on probation with the Iowa DOC for a period of five years. She entered into an interstate compact, and was allowed to go back to Nebraska.

On February 27th of this year, a probation revocation was initiated for White due to multiple rule violations including missed appointments, failure to maintain employment, and failure to get an evaluation. White’s probation was revoked on Tuesday of this week, and the original sentence of a prison term up of up to ten years was imposed.
