Fundraising for this year’s Storm Lake Star Spangled Spectacular has reached 16 thousand dollars.
According to fundraising co-chair Josh Newhouse, many donors have increased their donations over last year, and several first time donors contributed this week. Newhouse said they also received donations from donors they hadn’t heard from in many years.
The fundraising goal is 45 thousand dollars.
Fundraising co-chair Matt Brostad noted online donations continued to increase.
Donation checks can be made out to Star Spangled Spectacular and sent to Josh Newhouse, Fundraising Chair, PO Box 457, Storm Lake, IA 50588.
