Sac County authorities arrested a man in the early morning hours today (Fri) on an assault charge.
According to the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the residence at 713 Locust Street in Odebolt at around 11:17pm Thursday. The call was regarding a domestic dispute, and the man was allegedly intoxicated. Upon arrival, law enforcement was unable to locate the man, identified as 24-year-old Andrew Prichard.
Law enforcement remained in the area, and received a second call from the residence an hour later. The caller reported that Prichard was back on the property. Upon arrival, a deputy located a couch in the backyard that was on fire. Odebolt Fire Department members extinguished the flames. Prichard was located in the garage at the residence. He was taken into custody without further incident. Prichard was booked into the Sac County Jail on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault.
