Little Change in Iowa Drought Monitor Map

Not much has changed in this week’s Iowa Drought Monitor map that was released on Thursday.

Just about all of Buena Vista County remains abnormally dry, while moderate drought is showing up in far northwest Iowa, including portions of Cherokee and Clay counties, and all of O’Brien County.

There is still no severe drought in the state. Just over 79 percent of Iowa is at least abnormally dry, the same percentage as last week.
