LifeServe Blood Center has scheduled two blood drives in Pocahontas County in late May.
A blood drive will be held on Thursday, May 22nd from 1 to 6pm at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Laurens.
Another blood drive is scheduled on Tuesday, May 27th from 12:30 to 5:30pm at the Expo Center in Pocahontas.

A news release states that in LifeServe Blood Center’s service area alone, more than three thousand units of blood are needed each week to meet the needs of hospital patients.
LifeServe is a non-profit blood center that provides blood products to 175 hospitals primarily in Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Illinois.
