Ihry Arrest


According to a press release, on Thursday, May 1st, at approximately 3:15 pm the Storm Lake Police Department was called to 412 Ontario Street in Storm Lake for a report of a belated domestic disturbance. On arrival police spoke with a female victim who alleged that just prior they had engaged in an argument at the residence at that location with a male subject identified as John Ihry, age 47 of Storm Lake. The victim alleged that during the argument Ihry pushed the victim and engaged in sexual contact against the victim’s will, causing the victim to sustain minor injuries. Police allege a minor child was present in the immediate area during the incident and was unharmed. Ihry was taken into custody without incident short time after the report in the 300 Block of Ontario Street, and booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on charges including Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Bodily Injury 1st Offense, a Serious Misdemeanor; Assault -Penetration of Genitalia or Anus, a Class C Felony; Sexual Abuse 3rd Degree, A Class C Felony; and Child Endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor. Ihry was held on a $20,000 bond.
