Highway 39 from Odebolt to Denison will be closed starting at 9am tomorrow (Wed) until late April, weather permitting as crews work to improve the surface of the road.
According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, drivers will be directed to a marked detour route while that section of Highway 39 is closed. There will still be access to local homes and businesses on that stretch of road. During the closure, drivers are urged to use caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
