The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking public comments about a proposed roundabout at the north junction of U.S. Highways 18 and 71 on the north side of Spencer.
During construction of the roundabout, traffic will be detoured along 4th Avenue Northwest and 4th Avenue West. The route will be paved and located in the southwest quadrant of the 18/71 intersection. Construction is expected to start in the spring of 2027, and end in the fall of 2027.
Feedback can be shared on Monday, April 28th from 4 to 6pm at Spencer City Hall. There will not be a formal presentation.
