Governor Kim Reynolds has issued a disaster proclamation for Buena Vista County following damage that occurred in the Storm Lake area from straight-line thunderstorm winds early Friday morning.
The proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond and recover from the effects of the severe weather, and also activates the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program and Disaster Case Advocacy Program. The proclamation is in effect until May 18th.
