Applications are being accepted for this year’s Clay County Fair Queen.
Candidates must be females between the ages of 16 and 21 by August 9th. Candidates must reside in Clay County or an adjoining county if the majority of her activities are in Clay County, must never be married, cannot be a professional model, and cannot represent any other organization. Applicants must be a member of at least one service organization such as 4-H, Girl Scouts, or a church group.
Applications are available at www.claycountyfair.com. Submit applications to the Clay County Fair Contest…PO Box 527…Spencer, Iowa 51301. Applications can be emailed to info@claycountyfair.com. April 10th is the last day that applications will be accepted. A committee will select the finalists, and they will compete for the title on Sunday, April 30th at the Clay County Regional Events Center.
The Clay County Fair Queen will represent the Clay County Fair at the Flagfest Parade in June, the Iowa State Fair during the queen contest, selected celebrations during the summer, and the Clay County Fair in September.
