The City of Alta is gearing up for its city-wide clean-up effort next week.
All appliances, tires, TV’s, and monitors will be picked up on Tuesday, June 10th. Each of those items must have a city sticker on them so they can be picked up. Stickers can be purchased at Alta City Hall through next Monday, June 9th.
Other unwanted items must be brought to the dumpsters located at the City Shop at 209 East 1st Street on Tuesday, June 10th, and Wednesday, June 11th from 8am to 3:30pm. Dumpsters will be monitored. Several items will not be allowed in the dumpsters including fluorescent light bulbs, paint, oil, hazardous household waste, construction materials such as insulation, lath, and sheetrock, as well as carpet and padding. The BV County Recycling Center accepts hazardous waste throughout the year.
Those who are 65 and older, or have a disability and need assistance transporting items can contact City Hall. Volunteers will transport items for a freewill donation. Anyone interested in volunteering can contact Alta City Hall.
