A Few Area Locations Among Drop-off Sites for National Prescription Drug Take Back Event This Weekend

Another National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is scheduled this Saturday, April 26th.

The biannual event is an opportunity for Iowans to dispose unused and or expired prescription medications safely and anonymously.

Collection sites in the area include the Cherokee and Clay County Sheriff’s Offices from 10am to 2pm…and the Spencer Police Department from 11am to 1pm.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day events are held in the spring and the fall.

In addition to the event this Saturday, Iowans can take excess medications to one of Iowa’s Prescription Drug Take Back locations, including nearly 400 permanent pharmacy and law enforcement center sites, available on a year-round basis.
