Galva will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Wed. August 5th from 1-5:30 at the Galva Holstein Upper Elementary School, 207 Noll St. in Galva.
The American Red Cross is facing a critical blood shortage, with inventories of the most needed blood types, including type O, days away from crisis levels. The Red Cross blood supply fell nearly 25% in June, blood is being used faster than it’s being collecting. This affects all patients needing blood, wether it’s surgery, cancer, trauma, childbirth or any other need. Your donation helps ensure blood is available when needed, it may even be you that needs it!
