Family Donates to Iowa Central Community College Center for Performing Arts Building Project

A generous donation will help Iowa Central Community College renovate and expand its auditorium in Fort Dodge.

The one-million dollar donation is from Fort Dodge couple Don and Dianne Decker. The new Center for Performing Arts will feature numerous improvements including significant acoustic upgrades, sound and technology enhancements, better lighting, new seats, and more. It will be the largest venue in Iowa Central Community College’s nine county service region. Due to the improvements, touring groups will be able to offer performances in Fort Dodge.

Construction for the new Center is underway. The college will be launching their community-wide fundraising campaign in August.
