The Storm Lake girls basketball team snapped a three game losing streak thanks to a 53-42 win at Carroll Saturday afternoon. The Tornadoes led 26-12 at the break and never led by less than ten in the entire 2nd half. Avery DeHaan scored a game high 21 points and Grace Kenkel had 11 points and many rebounds. In the boys game Jaidyn Coon scored 23 points and Cam Boyd had 21 and the Tornadoes held off a stubborn Tigers team 77-61. Storm Lake led 37-28 and built a 16 point lead early in the 3rd quarter only to have Carroll close to within six points with four minutes to go at 63-57.
