Spirit Lake Girls Soccer knocks off East Sac County in first-ever meeting

The Spirit Lake Indians defeated the East Sac County Raiders 5-0 in the first-ever meeting in girls’ soccer between the two teams

Both teams came into the match with just one loss but the Indians would find the back of the net in the first eleven minutes when Anabel Sinz scored to make it 1-0. The teams would go back and forth with strong defensive play. However, in the last ten minutes, the Indians would strike twice, from Sinz and Lexie Powers, to make the score 3-0 at the halftime break. The second half would again see the Indians strike in the first fourteen minutes when Powers struck again to make it 4-0. Powers would strike on more time for the hat trick as the Indians went on to win 5-0.
