Ridge View Scores Win Over Panthers

The Ridge View softball team won their 12th game of the year Monday night defeating Saint Mary’s 13-4 at Memorial Field in Storm Lake.

The Raptors had 14 hits in the game and scored 11 runs over the final three innings of the game. Cora Tesch and Brynlee Grieme each had three hits and Tesch was on base five times and scored four runs.

Zoey Aschinger picked up the win striking out 12 and walking five while giving up four runs on three hits. Neely Bacon had two the three Panther hits and drove in three runs.

Ridge View is now 12-9 on the year and will play a pair of games at Ruthven on Wednesday. The Panthers, who earlier in the night lost to GTRA 10-7 fall to 9-12 overall.

Saint Mary’s plays a double-header Tuesday night at Coon Rapids-Bayard starting at 5:30pm.
