Storm Lake Track–Soccer–Tennis–Golf Results From 4-18-23

Storm Lake track and field teams competed at Spirit Lake on Tuesday. The girls placed 4th with 79 points and had four events place first. Mackenzie Harder won the long jump with a leap of 16-5-1/4 and she won the 200 meter run in 26.52. Nyalang Yak placed first in the 400 meters in a time of 1:04.2, and Melanie Chanthapangna won the high jump with a jump of 5-1.

The Tornado boys team placed 7th and scored 17 points on the day.

The Storm Lake golf teams played E-L-C Tuesday with the girls hosting the Midgets at the BVU golf course at Lake Creek where the two teams played the back nine.

Storm Lake shot a 233 and won the meet by two strokes. Maddy Raveling was runner up medalist as she shot a 51. Other scores for the Tornadoes were Kennadie Miller 57, Audry Kosky 62, Hannah Taylor and Jaslyn Saengchanpheng both shot 63, and Amy Slight carded a 73.

The Tornado boys played at Estherville and they shot a 179 and lost the dual by two strokes. Charlie Dvergsten was medalist after carding a 41. Other scores for Storm Lake, Carson Lullmann 45, Jake Eddie 46, Brody Boeckman and Cam Boyd both shot 47, and Jayden Butler shot a 48.

The Storm Lake girls tennis team beat Le Mars Tuesday by a score of 6-3.Maggie Keller, Narissa Lovan, Kazao Vang won at number 2, and Kristina Yang at number 3.

Both Storm Lake soccer teams lost to Humboldt Tuesday. The girls dropped a 6-2 match and the boys lost in overtime 1-0.
