The Newell Fonda softball team rolled to a 14-0 win in three innings tonight (Thur) over Storm Lake St. Mary’s in Fonda.
Newell Fonda scored six runs in the 1st inning, and then eight in the 2nd. The Mustangs had 11 hits. Anna Bellcock went 3-3 with four RBI’s. Every player in Newell Fonda’s starting batting order reached base at least once.
Kierra Jungers pitched three perfect innings and struck out seven. Newell Fonda is now 8-2, and they play at Spirit Lake tomorrow night (Fri).
The 0-2 Panthers play at Emmetsburg tomorrow in a 5:30 contest.
