East Sac County boys knock off Atlantic 3-0, girls fall to 1A #14 Harlan 2-1

The East Sac County girls soccer team fell just short vs 1A #14 Harlan 2-1, while the Raider boys soccer team got the home win over Atlantic 3-0

The boys game saw the Raiders dominate the first half. The Raiders would catch a nice reward for their effort when Atlantic scored an own goal, credited to Will Smith. The Raiders would carry the 1-0 lead to the half. The second half saw more of the same. Again, the Raiders were dominant however the Trojans would keep them off the scoreboard. That would change when Sam Schmitt would find the back of the net at 13:47 to give the Raiders a 2-0 lead. The Radiers would wrap up the scoring when Isaiah Aragon connected at 4:38 to go and the Raiders would go on to win 3-0. The win improves the Raiders to 2-5, the Raiders play at home on Tuesday vs AHSTW

The girls game saw the Raiders lockdown on defense in a 2-1 loss. The Raiders would open the scoring vs 1A #14 Harlan just over 10 muntes is when Kenna Meyer scored at the 29:22 mark to give the Raiders a 1-0 lead. The Cyclones would have an answer with 15:58 to go in the half and the game would go to the halftime break tied at 1-1. The second half would see bothe defenses lockdown over the first 20 minutes. The Cyclones would collect the game winning goal off of a shot Thayer deflected but the defense could not clear at 20:33. The Raiders would have a solid push in the final 10 minutes of the match but could not find the back of the net and fell 2-1. The Raider fall to 2-7, and stay home on Tuesday to take on AHSTW
