Dvergsten Drills Eight 3-Pointers In Tornado Win

Charlie Dvergsten drained 8-of-13 from behind the arc and scored a career high 28 points in a 95-41 win over Sioux City-West Monday night at Storm Lake.

Dvergsten and the Tornadoes came out on fire making 27 of their 35 shots in the first half as they built a 63-25 lead at the half and ended up shooting 64-percent for the game. Justin Guynn scored 20 points, Jaidyn Coon added 19 and Cam Boyd scored 14.

With the win Storm Lake moves to 9-7 on the year and will play again Tuesday night at Newell-Fonda, the games will be on Mix 101.7FM KAYL and video streamed at stormlakeradio.com

Sioux City-West was led in scoring by Collin Abelson who had 14 of his team high 18 in the first half and the Wolverines fall to 2-14 overall.
