Tornadoes Run Win Streak To Nine

The Storm Lake baseball team scored seven runs in the last two innings and picked up a 7-2 win at Spirit Lake Wednesday night.

Jake Eddie went the distance on the mound and struck out 11 batters while giving up eight hits and one earned run. The Tornadoes had four hits in the game led by Sam Dvergsten who went 3-for-3 and raised his season batting average to .500 in the process.

The Tornadoes were aided by threeIndians errors in the game. Storm Lake is now 12-3 overall and 3-0 in the Lakes Conference and will host Emmetsburg Thursday night.
