Storm Lake Water Outage Scheduled for Expansion Boulevard Area

Storm Lake residents in the Radio Road and Expansion Boulevard area should expect a planned water outage next weekend as the city repairs a damaged hydrant.

City officials say the water main serving the area will be shut down at 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, to replace a hydrant that was heavily damaged in a recent vehicle accident. The outage is expected to last about eight hours.

The shutdown will affect properties along Radio Road between Richland Drive and the railroad tracks, as well as Expansion Boulevard east of Radio Road.

Once service is restored, the city will issue a boil advisory through Tuesday to allow time for required water quality testing. Impacted homes and businesses will receive a notice when the advisory begins and another when it is lifted.
