Outside agencies seeking City of Storm Lake funding for the next fiscal year can now apply.
Applications are open for qualifying nonprofits and economic development groups under Iowa Code Chapter 15A. The deadline to submit is 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, with final funding decisions to be made during the city’s fiscal year 2027 budget workshops early next year.
Applicants must sign a grant agreement before receiving funds and may be asked to provide financial records to verify proper use. A public question-and-answer session will be held during the Feb. 2 Storm Lake City Council meeting, offering agencies a chance to clarify requests.
The new fiscal year begins July 1, 2026.Â
Applications are available at City Hall or online at stormlake.org. Completed forms can be dropped off at 620 Erie Street or emailed to finance@stormlake.org.
