Storm Lake Man Arrested on Felony Drug Warrant

Storm Lake Police arrested a local man Friday afternoon on a felony drug warrant.

Around 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 30, officers located 50‑year‑old Jose Sevilla Perez Jr. in the 500 block of Russell Street. Police say Sevilla Perez was wanted on a Buena Vista County warrant for third offense possession of a controlled substance—a class D felony.

The warrant stemmed from a Nov. 6, 2025 arrest, when Sevilla Perez was taken into custody on an unrelated incident and allegedly found with a small amount of methamphetamine.

Authorities report Sevilla Perez was taken into custody Friday without incident. He was transported to the Buena Vista County Jail, where he was booked on a $5,000 bond.
