The Ridge View baseball team lost to top seed and defending State champion Pleasantville 10-0 in five innings Tuesday night in the quarterfinal round of the 2A State tournament at Carroll.
The Raptors had three hits in the game with Luke Braunschweig, Aiden Myrtue, and Jacob Cougill each getting one.
Ridge View concludes the season with a record of 22-5. Seniors on the team included Cougill, Blake Myrtue, Eli Franken, Kinnick Jensen, Owen Worthan, Ethan Wandrey, and Evan Ramirez.
At the 2A State softball tournament in Fort Dodge the Raptors softball team lost to Wapsie Valley 11-9. Ridge View battled back from an early 5-0 deficit to take a 6-5 lead. Wapsie Valley took the lead back 9-6 only to have the Raptors tie the game with a 3-run 5th inning.
Ridge View had 14 hits in the game with Cora Tesch and Harper Cress each collecting four. The Raptors, now 26-8, will play Logan-Magnolia Wednesday at 10am. If they win they will face Wapsie Valley again at 2:30pm.
