Ridge View at OA-BCIG Basketball Recap

The OA-BCIG boys kept their perfect season going with a 70-53 win over Ridge View Friday night in Holstein.

Ridge View had the upperhand for most of the 1st quarter, and led by as many as seven, including 18-11 after the 1st quarter. The Raptors were also up as many as seven early in the 2nd quarter, but OA-BCIG fought back and took a 23-22 lead and never trailed after that. Ridge View tied the game twice later in the 2nd quarter, but the Falcons scored the last five points in the 2nd quarter, including a Kane Ladwig three at the buzzer to take a 35-30 lead at the half.

OA-BCIG extended the run to 9-0 into the 3rd quarter, and led by as many as 17 in the 2nd half, including the final margin.

Ladwig led all scorers with 20 points, Beckett DeJean had 14, and Treyton Kolar added 13 for the Falcons. The Raptors were led by Tracin Price with 14, and Kellen Jensen had 10.

OA-BCIG is now 10-0, and 7-0 in the Western Valley Conference. Ridge View goes to 4-7, 4-2.

The Ridge View girls snapped a five game losing streak with a 64-38 win over OA-BCIG.

After a back and forth 1st quarter, the Raptors took the lead for good with a 9-0 run to end the 1st quarter to take a 16-9 lead. Ridge View led by as many as ten during the 1st half, and led 27-20 at the half. Ridge View put 20 points on the board in the 3rd quarter, and led 47-27 enterting the 4th.

The Raptors knocked down 11 threes. Madison Stowater hit five from outside the arc, and had 24 points. Zoey Aschinger hit three triples and had 11 points. Haley Harms had 13 for the Falcons, followed by Krista Sibenaller with 12. Comments from Ridge View coach Brian Bode can be heard below.

The Ridge View girls are now 4-7 overall, and 3-3 in the Western Valley, dropping OA-BCIG to 3-8, 2-5.
