Storm Lake’s Knights of Columbus Council 2326 has donated $1,000 to The Bridge of Storm Lake, supporting the organization’s work with local youth.
The Bridge provides faith‑based mentoring and outreach programs aimed at giving young people a safe and positive place to grow.
The contribution comes from the Knights’ Cans for a Cause program, which collects redeemable cans and bottles donated by area residents. Funds raised through the recycling effort are distributed to community organizations throughout the year.
Nate Sotebeer with the Knights of Columbus says the donation reflects the generosity of residents who continue to support the program.
Donation cages are located at Hy‑Vee and Fareway in Storm Lake, as well as near Laven’s Northwest Monuments Inc. across from Sunrise Pointe Golf Course. Local groups interested in applying for future grants can contact kccansforacause@gmail.com.
