Judith “Judy” K. Winterhof, age 86, of Holstein, formerly of Galva

Judith “Judy” K. Winterhof, age 86, of Holstein, Iowa, (formerly of Galva, Iowa) passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the Holstein Senior Assisted Living Community of Holstein, Iowa.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, February 10, 2023, at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Galva, Iowa. Pastor Paul Egger will officiate.

Committal Services will follow in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery of Galva, Iowa.

A Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Funeral Service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., on Friday, February 10, 2023, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Galva, Iowa.

Judith “Judy” Karen Winterhof, the daughter of Arnold and Edith (Rasmussen) Else, was born on January 13, 1937, in Ida County, Iowa. In the 4th grade Judy’s family relocated to Galva, Iowa and she graduated from Galva High School with the Class of 1955.

On November 12, 1955, Judy was united in marriage to George E. Schulke Sr., the union was blessed with four daughters and two sons. The couple later parted ways. On February 2, 1996, Judy was united into marriage to Gaylen H. Winterhof.

Judy had a passion for sewing, loved cats, and making silk floral arrangements. She also enjoyed the company of others and lending a helping hand.

Survivors include two sons, George, Jr. and William; three daughters, Kim, Jill and Mindy; two grandchildren, Nick and Rossy; brother Harlan (Jane) Else; sister-in-law Peggy; brother-in-law Don; dear friends Vickie and Dale; other special family Scott (Tonia), Krista (Jeff), Kyle (Hallie), Jessica (Ethan), and Bailey; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Edith Else; brothers William, Arnold, Jr. and John; sister Ardith “Ardie”; daughter Jodie Schulke August 2004; and husband Gaylen Winterhof.
